Bible Classes This Week

Today at 9:15 am - Join us in the Multi-Purpose Room for a study of the Parables with Deacon Don Henderson. 10:45 am – Students (Middle and High School) are invited to join Diana Nickel in the Youth Room. 6:00 pm – Join Pastor Russ in the Multi-Purpose Room for a study of The Bondage of the Will. Wednesday Bible Class @ 10:00 am: Vicar Bert is teaching a study on the 10 Commandments.

Note to Parents - A staffed Nursery, located just off the sanctuary, is provided for your youngsters during the 9:30am Sunday Church Service - infants to age 5.

The Best Is Yet to Come –Additional books have been ordered. They will be on sale for $15 each. We will focus our sermons, small groups, and personal devotions on this spiritual growth campaign. It’s not too late to join a small group.

Bread Ministry – Do you know someone who needs a little help with their groceries? There is bread from Paneras in the fellowship hall for you to distribute to those in need.

Women of the Word – will be meeting on Tuesday, September 23rd. Please mark your calendar and join us. Women of the Word is a group of women who love scripture and enjoy studying it in a warm friendly atmosphere. Call Marilyn Sagehorn at 954-972-9498 for details.

Life Line Screening – Stroke screening is coming to Shepherd of the Coast, Saturday, October 25th. Pre-registration is required call 1-800-324-1851.

Looking for a way to help the sick? Well then you’re in luck! CAPS FOR CANCER is collecting any new baseball caps or scarves. They will then be donated to the cancer patients at St.Jude Children’s Hospital or Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Please bring them to the front office, or to the Pastor.

Will you pray with us? The Pastoral team gathers in the Vestry for prayer at 7:25 am every Sunday. You are welcome to join us or pray at home for us.

GriefShare is a support group for those who have lost a loved one. Our GriefShare group is now meeting on Wednesdays at 7 pm. It’s not too late to join! Brochures are available in the lobby or contact Pastor Dan, if you want someone invited.

Christmas Pageant – We have a limited number of tickets for the Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant at 1st Baptist of Fort Lauderdale on Dec 13th. The cost is $38. An order form is in the lobby.

Confirmation Class for students began Sunday, September 21 at 10:45 am in the library. Contact the pastors or vicar for more info.

Bowling and Pizza – TODAY - September 21st 5-8 pm. Meet at Shepherd of the Coast. We will leave at 5pm to go bowing and return to SOC for pizza and a mini-Bible study.

New School Year Enrollment is Underway!

Thrift Shop Is Open!

TWEENS: What’s a tween? You are if you are in grades 3rd through 5th. Our tweens meet twice a month usually, on Wednesdays from 3:15pm-4:30pm in the youth room. Any questions, call Ms. Brenda at 954-772-5468 or email at bsorren@shepherdofthecoast.org.

Here’s Where I Fit In – Fourteen forms have been returned to date. SOC needs greeters, lectors and ushers. Please fill out a form and serve your loving God.

You’ve Got the Time – If you could listen to the Bible everyday for 40 days, would it impact your life? You are invited to participate in Faith comes by Hearing and honor God by listening through the New Testament in just 40 days. Free Audio Bible CD’s are available in the lobby.
