TODAY Sunday, March 7, we are having a Sweat Equity Day following the 11 am service. We will need to dismantle the chancel platform so that the new chancel can be constructed. We will also need some “light duty” help to dust after the demolition. We plan to wrap things up with some fellowship at 3 pm.

Listen to “The Lutheran Hour” on the radio or on the Web at: www.lutheranhour.org. “The Lutheran Hour” is also on XM’s Family Talk Radio 170 every Sunday at 1 p.m. (EST). Would you enjoy reading a daily devotion written by Pastor Ken Klaus? Subscribe at www.lhm.org/dailydevotions.asp.

New Doors – If you park in our west parking lot, it is more convenient for you to enter in the new, west doors. These are open every Sunday and for midweek meetings. They are also much easier to operate than the north door to the foyer.
We try to keep open lines of communication at Shepherd of the Coast, and for this reason, members have mailboxes located in the foyer to the east of the church sanctuary. I urge you to check your mailbox whenever you come to worship. When you pick up your mail, check that you have your mail (not someone else’s). If you are not sure of your number, there is an alphabetical list of names with numbers located by the mailboxes. Also, please let the office know if you cannot find your mailbox.
Securing Each Child’s Future – For a Life of Service is the theme for National Lutheran Schools Week (next week). We are planning a service event for our younger children where they will prepare a meal for Cooperative Feeding Program. If you are willing to donate hot dogs or cans of baked beans, please have them at the Church by Thursday night.
Family Fellowship: Families with younger children are invited to be a part of Family Fellowship. We meet next on Sunday, March 14th after the 9:30 am service. Child care is provided. We’re beginning a new study next week, so this is a good time to join in. Contact Pastor Dan (954-772-8010) or Tom or Nicole Gilmore (954-594-4225) for more information.

Life Thoughts in the Church Year for The Third Sunday in Lent “Watchmen” are to call wrong things wrong (Ezekiel 33:7-9). Labeling a wrong thing political or controversial and not talking about it within the Church does not make it any less wrong. And why wouldn’t watchmen want to call wrong things wrong? Doing so then gives opportunity to share what God, in Christ, has done about wrong things.
Children’s Ministry - J.A.M. Sunday school and Kids Church are set for full steam ahead. During the 9:30 am service we have three year olds through first grade meeting downstairs. We have second through fifth grade meeting upstairs. We have a great curriculum and great teachers that make up our classes. Kids Church meets during the 11:00 am service. This time is designed to be an age appropriate Kids Church Service. We do a lot of the same things that regular church does. If you are interested in helping out with any of the ministries listed above email us at bsorren@shepherdofthecoast.org.
